Magnetic Solid Phase Extractants & Supplies

Magnetic solid phase extractants are available in Bonnacats-MA (polymer matrix) and Bonnacats-MS (silica matrix.) The Bonnacats MA polymer matrix series includes bonded phases such as HLB, WCX, WAX, MCX, MAX, PS, and others.

• Bonnacats-MA HLB are hydrophilic-lipophilic balanced water-wettable reversed-phase magnetic solid-phase extractants containing both hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups on the surface for a wide range of acidic, basic and neutral analytes.

• Bonnacats-MA WCX (Plus) is a hybrid weak cation exchange reversed-phase magnetic solid-phase extractant with high selectivity for compounds that are strongly basic, and can be used to extract basic compounds from biological matrices such as plasma, urine, bile and tissue homogenates.

• Bonnacats-MA WAX is a hybrid weak anion exchange reversed-phase magnetic solid-phase extractant with high selectivity for strongly acidic compounds and can be used to extract acidic compounds and their metabolites from biological matrices.

• Bonnacats-MA MCX are hybrid strong cation exchange reversed-phase magnetic solid phase extractants with high selectivity for basic compounds.

•  Bonnacats-MA MAX are hybrid strong anion exchange reversed-phase magnetic solid phase extractants with high selectivity for acidic compounds.

•  Bonnacats-MA PS are neutral reversed-phase magnetic solid-phase extractants for styrene/divinylbenzene. It is suitable for the retention of hydrophobic compounds containing hydrophilic groups under reversed-phase conditions. It can be used for the extraction of aromatic compounds and phenols etc. from aqueous solutions and for the determination of benzo(a)pyrene in animal and plant fats and oils.

The Bonnacats MS silica matrix series includes bonded phases such as C18, Ram C18, C8, C4, HILIC, and Silica.

• Bonnacats-MS C18 is a reversed-phase magnetic solid-phase extractant with high carbon content and high hydrophobicity, which can extract nonpolar compounds through hydrophobicity and has a high capacity for nonpolar compounds. It is mainly used for the extraction of non-polar compounds (e.g., polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, antimicrobials, fat-soluble vitamins and esters, etc.)

• Bonnacats-MS Ram C18 has a hydrophilic modification on the outer surface in addition to the C18 functional group, which has the effect of blocking interfering macromolecules, and is mainly used for enrichment detection of biological samples. When used for biological samples, macromolecular interfering molecules such as proteins can neither enter into the micropores of the extractant nor interact with the polar functional groups on the surface of the extractant, and are not retained on the magnetic solid-phase extractant. 

• Bonnacats-MS C8 is moderately hydrophobic and is well suited for compounds that are over-retained on C18 and more difficult to elute.

• Bonnacats-MS HILIC bonds neutral amide groups to the surface of silica gel and utilizes the principle of hydrophilic interaction chromatography to enrich strongly polar and water-soluble basic compounds for use in the 100% aqueous phase.

• Bonnacats-MS Silica is enriched with reactive silica hydroxyl groups on the surface, which allow the extraction of polar compounds from non-polar solvents by hydrogen bonding interactions. It is mainly used for polar compound extraction (e.g. aldehydes, amines, organic acids, phenols, drugs, dyes, herbicides and pesticides).
